My printer MT-200 is printing slow, how can I get it to print faster?
There are a couple of things that may cause slow print. To get full printer speed, please update the Windows driver to the latest version (This can be found in our Useful Downloads section). Also, we recommend if you are able to use a USB port instead of the RS232 port, as the throughput of data is greater with USB. When printing using the Windows driver please remember that the driver is converting everything to graphic so the data size is larger. In this case consider communicating with the printer by sending a text files (using ESC/POS command language) to the communication port directly. Our help desk can provide assistance in doing this and Programming Guides are available in our Useful Downloads section.

The most common problem is a broken mirror. Where there is crack on the mirror, the beam light is broken and the scanner struggles to read wide barcodes. If you flash the beam light on a white surface, you can see if the light has got visible cracks. If this is the case, the scanner needs to be sent for repair, this can be done using our online Return Materials Authorization. Otherwise, please contact our Technical Support team.
