UK-Based Axiohm plc, changes its name to Maxa Technologies plc. US parent, Axiohm Transactions Solutions Inc, (ATSI) remains unchanged

Axiohm Plc in the UK has changed its name to Maxa Technologies Plc to continue its evolution into a Value Added Partner for both Axiohm group products and its development of strategic alliances with third party manufacturing partners.

Designed to clarify its strategic direction and enable it to continue to expand the breadth and depth of its product offering, this change will allow Maxa Technologies plc to develop relationships with non-group manufacturers. Maxa Technologies Plc remains a wholly owned subsidiary of ATSI (Axiohm Transaction Solutions Inc).

Axiohm Transactions Solutions Inc, the parent company in the US, remains the same and keeps its name.

The new identity was launched to 60 of the company’s distributors at its European Partner conference at Lake Como, Italy. Andrea Irving, Maxa Technology Plc’s managing director, commented, “The Axiohm plc name was automatically associated with the Axiohm brand of transaction printing products. It therefore made sense to change our name. We wanted to create a brand that continued to communicate the importance of quality while allowing us to offer a broader range of products and solutions from additional manufacturers. Maxa Technologies allows us to do that. Strategically the Axiohm and Cognitive product ranges will continue to be a major focus for Maxa Technologies.”

Irving added, “Today we have placed a stake in the ground, giving us a clear starting point from which to grow. It will also enable us to focus on our target markets and expand into new markets. This is not just a cosmetic exercise, we are putting a lot behind developing the brand and new best of breed solutions. This marks a new and exciting period for Maxa Technologies and we would like to thank all our partners for their support over the years. We look forward to continuing business success with them.”

Maxa Technologies Plc will be promoted through the “Maxatec” brand and new logo. Maxa Technologies will expand its service centre partners in Europe to complement its existing EMEA service centre in Altrincham, UK, which is accredited by all the manufacturing partners it represents. It will make an announcement in relation to this shortly.

Maxa Technologies offers Service, Support, Customisation, Training and Repair facilities. Its product portfolio includes Axiohm POS printers , Cognitive Barcode printers , Extech portable printers , Blazeprint industrial label printer products and other peripherals and consumables. Combined with the new products that Maxa Technologies will take on, this will enable the company to add more value to its partnerships and to offer solutions for a great number of printing applications wherever they take place. This may be in many environments; warehouse, retail, logistics, transportation, document tracking, healthcare and many more.
