Maxa Technologies (Maxatec) announces ReceiptEZ™ Software, the industry's first receipt marketing and promotion software solution. This new retail software opens up an entirely new area for in-store promotions and an additional revenue stream for retailers.
Maxatec is the European Sales, Support and Service Office for Axiohm Transaction Printer Group, Inc. ("TPG"). The ReceiptEZ™ allows a retailer to customise Point of Sale (POS) receipts through POS printers without having to reconfigure a complicated main POS application.
The new receipt software enables retailers to communicate with customers by adding dynamic messages and graphics onto their point of sale receipts in either monochrome or two-colour print. This can be coordinated and scheduled across multiple stores to coincide with planned launches, special offers and promotions.
ReceiptEZ has many advantages to aid in-store promotion. It can read loyalty cards and run brand advertising on the receipts by store location, branch and even by till. It creates CRM messages on the receipt and issues individual discount vouchers for the competing brand, triggered by the customer's information. For example, if the printer reads that the consumer has bought a bottle of Coke, ReceiptEZ could allow automatic issue a 20p discount voucher for a bottle of Pepsi.
Automatic printing of vouchers at the end of the receipt means the retailer does not have to print and post vouchers separately. This also has the added bonus of saving the retailer money.
Another dramatic advantage, is that the ReceiptEZ help restricts fraudulent reproduction of receipts by printing faint logos/watermarks, printed only at the time of transaction. These watermarks/logos will prevent fraud should a roll of receipt paper be stolen or misplaced, a receipt cannot be duplicated.
