The contemporary and rugged design of the S2500T suggests careful attention to the needs of the mobile workforce. The S2500T is an ultra lightweight and compact, yet durable, battery operated direct thermal receipt printer that includes:

• A new EZ load clamshell thermal print mechanism for even easier use in the field

The use of wireless technology (wireless LANS, Bluetooth and Infrared) plus low cost handheld computer systems, particularly those powered by Windows CE and Palm operating systems, are enabling more frontline workers to complete transactions and issue receipts at the point of sale or service.

Just one example is the use of portable systems, including printers and magnetic card readers, as mobile point-of-service terminals for "line busting" to reduce the wait at cash terminals or to eliminate the need to leave a seat at crucial moments while watching a ball game.
